The Plywood Guitar Project

Critital Pickup selection. The overall depth, and indeed width of tone, calculated before construction using the equasion Ț=Patm/V, would require a myriad of styles of pickup to truely harness the spectrum of tone produced by this guitar. One pickup just wouldn't be enough. British safety standard BS57092 requires that at least 4.5 coils are used in a guitar of this type to prevent overheating and volatile combustion.

We needed to work out just exactly how many tones this guitar was going to produce to make sure our equipment was certified safe.
